[OSX-Users] about kindle

Hi there,

	Not a Mac OS X question, yet I hope to find some useful opinions here.

	Rather than an expensive iPad, I am considering to buy a relatively inexpensive Amazon's Kindle with the explicit and sole purpose of reading papers (PDF, occasionally Word) uploaded from my computer or from the network, and stop once and for all to carry around kilos of papers in my bag. Any opinion as to whether this is good idea? (I haven't actually touched a kindle, so no idea about how its interfaces work.)
