Dear All,
I am looking to get rid of my old iphone (2G 16 Gbyte) and I am wondering what the best
option is. o2 and various other phone recycling websites want to offer me around 100 pounds
for it (surprisingly they only want the phone and not the charger, box, manuals etc). Alternatively
I could try selling it on ebay where prices seem to be slightly higher but I have never had any luck
selling stuff on ebay.
Out of curiosity what do the various companies do with old phones. I would not have thought that once
recycling costs were taken into account there was 100 pounds worth of stuff in an old iphone. And reselling it
seems odd given that it cannot run ios 4. Hence I have no idea why it is worth 100 pounds to anyone.
cheers,
Neil
P.S. will happily hand it over to anyone for any sum over 80 pounds in cash.
