Fearing the draconian cuts, I checked my history, and found that, baring a 3 month hiatus where I used tethering because of a lack of broadband, I was regularly using between 200-300Mb.  More surprisingly this was *very* consistent!!!

Now that I've also the iPad 3G, it woudln't surprise me if this actually goes down a little.  So whilst somewhat cautious, I'm going with O2's 0.5Gb limit with the 600min plan.  I believe Orange and Vodaphone offer 0.75Gb...

Saying that, one of my RAs who does iPhone development regularly uses upwards of 2-3Gb !!!
