Now, if you could stream AV to the device (ala Apple TV or sharing content via iTunes), then that would be nice.  With your average movie being around 1.5Gb from the iTunes store, you can carry a few of these on an iPad (even a 64Gb model), but after a while, you'll not be storing your entire collection on the device...
