I would guess the iphone has cached your username - perhaps if you select
the 'forget this network' option for eduroam you'll be prompted for all
the credentials next time you select that SSID?
There's also a doenloadable iphone configuration utility on the Apple
software site - I've not personally tried it but I believe it helps
improve management of various authentication systems.
Maybe Jules can look at the Apple docs for iphone enterprise tools and
see if anything is of particular use for us - I've not looked into it:
