We just got a Time Capsule, and it's been a bit problematic so far.  
Wireless was flaky, now hooked up to wired but not tried it yet. Also,  
if you're not using it as an Airport too, it might be a bit overkill.

I used to run just an external HD for Time Machine, that worked fine,  
but that was for only one computer.

Would be interested to see if anyone has used a wireless My Book thing  
and how it compares.
