I rarely do it, but if you precede any YouTube URL with kick before  
the domain, you get an option to download in a variety of formats,

e.g.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yRI-MZwvpg&fmt=18

becomes

http://kickyoutube.com/watch/?v=8yRI-MZwvpg&fmt=18
