No, you shouldn't have any problems accessing ECS mail directly from
your iPhone. We all do it all the time with no problems whatsoever.
Anyone in the Systems Team should be able to set up your mail account
for you on your iPhone, we've pretty much all got one.

Why not drag the contents of the folder over from one account to the
other in Mail.app? Then IMAP will do it all for you and it will probably
work just fine. Assuming your folders are on the IMAP server to start with.
