iPlayer Grabber works fine for me.
(Can't be having this new-fangled command line stuff - it will never catch on.)
Something broke a couple of weeks back when the BBC changed something, but it was fixed straightaway.
Pretty sure it is just a neat skin on the standard tool, but avoids the messing about with URIs.
Guess you might call it a mash-up.
