[Mindscdt-supervisors] MIND6004 project marking & demo

Hi folks,

The MIND6004 dissertations for those students who have submitted by the normal deadline are available from https://secure.ecs.soton.ac.uk/notes/mind6004/e_marking/assess/MIND6004/2021/
You should be able to log into the e_marking system using your University of Southampton login credentials; not just restricted to ECS. There are a few not yet submitted due to extensions, and so I will let you know when they’re available.

The students are responsible for scheduling the demonstration, so they’ll be in touch. Demonstrations should be held with all supervisors and the second marker. I have asked the students to prepare a 10-15min presentation, and that will be followed by Q&A; think of it as a mini viva.

Prior to the demo, could you please complete independent marking of the dissertation (elements I, T, E, A and W in the marking scheme attached). The students’ supervisors jointly complete one independent marking form, so you’ll have to decide who will act as editor (probably the lead supervisor).

You can check the dissertation for plagiarism by following the link in the Academic Integrity section. If similarity index is >15%, then please consult the Academic Integrity Officer.

Following the demo, please enter the demo mark and comments, and the overall mark you have remembering that the demo is weighted 30%. All markers should discuss (and hopefully agree on) the moderated mark for the dissertation and demo.

If you need a third marker, please get in touch with me as soon as possible.
