Dr. Dimitra Georgiadou (<b>panel chair</b>): is the Deputy Impact Champion of MINDS CDT and a Senior Research Fellow leading the Flexible and Organic Electronics Theme in the Centre for Electronics Frontiers. She was previously Marie Curie Fellow at Imperial
College London and Industrial Fellow seconded at the UK SME PragmatIC, with a grant awarded from EPSRC Impact Acceleration Account.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-top:0cm;margin-bottom:0cm;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo3">
Dr. Iris Kramer: is the founder of ArchAI, a startup she launched during her PhD in deep learning for the automated detection of archaeological sites. ArchAI combines LIDAR and other data with AI learning to help the construction industry coexist with archaeology,
saving time and money during infrastructure development. As part of this, Iris was selected for the Ordnance Survey backed Geovation programme, became a Royal Academy of Engineering Enterprise Fellow and was awarded funding from SPRINT (Space Research and
Innovation Network). Additionally, Iris received a £70,000 offer of investment into her business from angel investors at Future Worlds Dragons’ Den, valuing ArchAI at £770,000 – the largest valuation so far to come out of this series of events.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-top:0cm;margin-bottom:0cm;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo3">
Prof. Rob Maunder: is an academic in the Next Generation Wireless research group in the School of Electronics and Computer Science. He is also the CTO and Founder of AccelerComm, which span out of the university in 2016. AccelerComm is leveraging Rob's research
in the joint design of algorithms and implementations for wireless signal process to provide implementation IP for 5G.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-top:0cm;margin-bottom:0cm;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo3">
Mr. Ben Clark: is the Director of Future Worlds helping our students create fast growing-companies from ideas. As Head of Sales at HIPPO Ben was part of the leadership team that raised over £12m in equity funding, built a team of 100 people and rapidly grew
to over £7m revenue. As Chief Operating Officer of software service company, iPresent, he bootstrapped to over $2m recurring revenue with offices in Hampshire and Silicon Valley and won the first worldwide SaaS licence Oracle ever purchased.<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-top:0cm;margin-bottom:0cm;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo3">
Dr. Alexander Serb: is a cofounder of a small-scale start-up company, ArC instruments, which produces scientific instrumentation useful to his group’s research. Dr. Serb has chosen the academic path but with the more unusual twist that ArC instruments continues
to operate on the side, producing a stream of income and new instrumentation for the ever evolving needs of the group.<o:p></o:p></li></ul>
