Hi folks,
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">I wanted to update you all on the structure of the exams you have for Semester 1 because this question came up last week when I was speaking to those of you who are my tutees.</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">The structure of each exam is as described in the rubric that has been published.</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">The structure of each exam is the same for all those registered for the module to ensure that all students taking the exam are assessed in the same way. If the module is core for
<b class="">any</b> degree programme then you have a 4 hour timed period within which to complete the exam within a 24 hour period. This 4 hour slot is a 2 hour exam with an additional 2 hours to allow for downloading/uploading, etc. </div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">This means that although all the COMP and ELEC modules that you are taking exams for are optional for the iPhD, many are core for other programmes, and hence are 4 hour exams to be taken within a 24 hour period.</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">Christine, Bahar and I have a full list of modules and their exam structure, so if you are unsure about what the rules are for your exams then please ask.</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">Best,</div>
<div class=""><br class="">
</div>
<div class="">Tim.</div>
