For the train tickets, would we buy them using our money, and then submit a proof of purchase to get a refund? If so, who would
we submit the proof of purchase to? Would it be OK if I purchased an off-peak return to Reading from Southampton Central?

Regards,
Matthew

Subject: [MindsCDT-students] Innovation camp update and Friday meal

Hi All,

Following the email I distributed last week, I’ve got some more information about the camp. Most importantly, we’re planning a meal on the Friday.

Friday meal:
- We’re hoping to arrange a meal on the Friday, 18:00-20:00, following the Hackathon, we’re thinking the Coconut bar and Kitchen<https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.coconutbarkitchen.co.uk%2F%23about-us&data=04%7C01%7Cmgd1g17%40soton.ac.uk%7C9dcd8866f36049be3afd08d977a90a66%7C4a5378f929f44d3ebe89669d03ada9d8%7C0%7C0%7C637672390171451910%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=zBtaYzz16HEfDt4AzDVAcZt2zbr8dlml7ZoL3eQnED8%3D&reserved=0>, it’s about a 10 minute walk from Reading train station and it serves Asian food.
- We’ll be able to claim expenses for the meal, again limited to £25
- I need to know the numbers ASAP so if everybody who wants to come could please reply to this poll by Thursday lunchtime that would be great: https://doodle.com/poll/8i3s623ur7i2k6ar?utm_source=poll&utm_medium=link<https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdoodle.com%2Fpoll%2F8i3s623ur7i2k6ar%3Futm_source%3Dpoll%26utm_medium%3Dlink&data=04%7C01%7Cmgd1g17%40soton.ac.uk%7C9dcd8866f36049be3afd08d977a90a66%7C4a5378f929f44d3ebe89669d03ada9d8%7C0%7C0%7C637672390171461903%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C1000&sdata=tajd7rDNtL%2F8wcCL3jgqHynpgcw6GWL0QSsQx0SGSMc%3D&reserved=0>

SETsquared location:
- On the Tuesday and Wednesday, the SETsquared events won’t be taking place in building 1, they’ll be taking place in: Building 100, Room 3023

Reading arrangements:
- When travelling to Thales we’ll have anytime single tickets, so it is your own responsibility to get to the Thales offices by 10:00am: 350 Longwater Avenue, Reading, Berkshire RG2 6GF
- I recommend getting the 08:12 train towards Manchester Piccadilly as this will get in Reading for 09:05am giving us plenty of time to get over to the Thales offices via the bus. The greenwave 50 bus goes between the station and the business park.
- If you’re driving to Reading, leave your car at our hotel car park: 4 Madejski Stadium Junction 11 M, Reading RG2 0FL England
- This has a small amount of parking, there are also some car parks nearby, obviously any parking charges can be claimed back
- You’ll need your laptop for the Hackathon at Thales so please bring that, and bear in mind we’ll be checking into our hotel after visiting Thales so any luggage will have to be carried around the Thales offices

Clearing up the itinerary:
- Finally, it appeared my itinerary table was formatted really strangely on some computers, so here is an excel version:

All the best, and see you next week,

Jack and Cohort 1
