This is super cool

Until very recently, dendrites were not considered particularly 
computationally rich - they just managed the action potential summations 
to turn a neuron on or off in a process (tho nerves are pretty much 
always on, so that is a kind of poor analogy - anyway…). The cool 
thing is that now it seems dendrites not just the neuron - where the DNA 
of the cell and other organelles sit - is itself computationally active
