I have just been along to the Library Student Communications Group [1].
I showed maps.southampton.ac.uk, and talked about how the library fits in.

My only real objective was to ensure that someone knows that there is
some library specific data being shown on the map, and this has now been
achieved. Matt (who I am told works in a technical role at the library)
may get in touch with me to find out more.

Another point discussed was the management of the data which the library
has in general. It sounds like they have some quite complicated data,
and some not so great software to manage it.

Obviously the incomplete nature of the indoor data is an issue, but this
is campus wide, and not specific to the library.

No concrete progress was made on what to do with regards to possibly
maintaining (until the replacement), or replacing the data that I have
scraped regarding the library (in the hartley-library-map-data repo).
The data that is on the maps which the library produce appears to be
quite complex (different bits of different datasets), so I don't think
there is a shortcut to automation.
