Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed in August 2019</a>, <a href="https://www.springernature.com/gp">
Springer Nature</a> and <a href="https://mpdl-services.de/">MPDL Services GmbH</a> on behalf of
<a href="https://www.projekt-deal.de/">Projekt DEAL</a> today announce that the formal contract for the world’s largest transformative Open Access agreement to date has now been signed.
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">From January 1st 2020, the agreement provides Open Access publishing services to academic authors at 700+ German research institutions. Extensive access to Springer Nature’s journal portfolio
will be granted to participating institutions. The agreement will be published in full text online in conjunction with the start of the sign-up process for German institutions in the second half of January.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
