I recently started at Florida State University as the Repository Specialist after working in a similar capacity as a Graduate Assistant. A lot of my work lately has involved researching and implementing workflows that leverage automatic
metadata harvesting in an effort to find efficient ways to increase content on
DigiNole, our institutional repository. We have had a lot of success using these new methods and I have developed some tools and documentation to help others in the field get a jump start on moving forward with this at their own institution.

I wrote up
this blog post that goes into some details and I hope to publish a more in-depth review with Code4Lib Journal or a similar outlet soon. I figured I would share this information with this listserv to help spread the word. I welcome any feedback or thoughts
on future development ideas. I'd also love to hear back from anyone else trying different approaches. I strongly believe there is a lot of great progress that can be made by libraries and institutional repositories in this area and that we can all benefit
from each other's experiences (particularly from our successes, but also from our struggles).
