<i>Annals</i> are spared seeing the text that is below the notice of copyright in the page that most GOAL subscribers saw. This shorter version of the page is also what ESA members see—provided they are using computers that have cookies that reveal they are
ESA members and therefore entitled to free access to the OUP archive of ESA back files.
