<span style="background-color: white; "><font face="Calibri" size="3">The group intends the site </font><font face="Calibri" size="3">to be an authoritative location for all aspects of the open access discussion in Australia. It contains information about open
access in Australia, including places to find open access materials, links to open access resources, lists of research and writing about open access in Australia and other useful links.</font></span></div>

<li style="margin: 0px 0px 0px 2.56px; padding: 0px; border-width: 0px; "><font face="Calibri" size="3">Provide an advocacy voice for open access to research in Australia.</font></li><li style="margin: 0px 0px 0px 2.56px; padding: 0px; border-width: 0px; "><font face="Calibri" size="3">Increase awareness of the importance of open access, and target advocacy to Australian research institutions, funders and the wider community.</font></li><li style="margin: 0px 0px 0px 2.56px; padding: 0px; border-width: 0px; "><font face="Calibri" size="3">Where appropriate to correspond with and advocate open access to publishers.</font></li><li style="margin: 0px 0px 0px 2.56px; padding: 0px; border-width: 0px; "><font face="Calibri" size="3">Share knowledge and experience and work collaboratively with groups in support of open access.</font></li><li style="margin: 0px 0px 0px 2.56px; padding: 0px; border-width: 0px; "><font face="Calibri" size="3">Be an Australian voice to interact with other international organisations.</font></li></ul>

<div><font face="Calibri" size="3"><span style="background-color: white; ">The AOASG has been founded by six Australian universities which have an open access policy requiring published research outputs to be made available: the Australian National University,
Charles Sturt University, Macquarie University, University of Newcastle, Queensland University of Technology and Victoria University.</span></font></div>
