Nature has published an article today
http://blogs.nature.com/news/2012/07/uk-research-funders-announce-liberated-open-access-policy.html
which contains a graphic on the numbers of papers published as Open and closed access:
http://www.nature.com/polopoly_fs/7.4973.1340115026!/image/UK.jpg_gen/derivatives/fullsize/UK.jpg

I would like answers to the following two questions:
* what is the source of the numbers in the graphics
* is there an open electronic list of the publications (and their funders) so that I can access them

I would be grateful if list members could restrict their replies on this thread to answering these questions and providing other similar factual information (perhaps for other countries and funders) - other threads can be used for the evangelism.
