Last year SPARC Europe published a report taking stock of the OA
copyright publisher
policies of a range of publishers to identify how far they currently
support OA twenty years in with the publication Open Access: An analysis of
publisher copyright and licensing policies in Europe, 2020
<https://zenodo.org/record/4046624#.X458NEIzaLI> It has seen over 3,000
downloads so far.
EIFL and SPARC Europe are now co-hosting a webinar in early March to
provide *an update on rights retention and open licensing policies *from a
range of copyright policymakers that* support Open Access to publications*.
Presenters will include *international funders* from cOAlition S and the
European Commission and *national policymakers* from several European
countries. We will also have the Director of Policy at Creative Commons
with us to discuss *open licensing*.
The webinar will end with a *panel discussion* on where OA copyright policy
alignment is important in the future.
We’d like to invite you to join us on this webinar. See here for *the
programme <https://sparceurope.org/webinar_copyrightpolicyoa2021/>.*
