Dear Danny,
I wish you all the best for your new life back home down under. I will miss you during the LERU meetings : it's been truly inspiring working with you and a lot of fun !
I'd like to keep in touch, but I don't tweet ;-)
I hope we see each other next week for the LERU meeting in Oxford.
Best wishes,
Adeline

<apologies for cross posting>
To my extended scholarly communication family,
As some of you know or have deduced, I am in the process of finishing up at Cambridge. I will be relocating back to Australia in a few weeks’ time, settling in Brisbane. This is a decision we made as a family and despite the timing has nothing to do with Brexit.
I will be working on a consultancy basis within the scholarly communication area. I will continue to tweet about all things schol comm from @dannykay68, and will also remain on discussion lists. My editorial positions on the Data Science Journal and the Journal of Librarianship and Scholarly Communication remain unaffected and I will continue to sit on my various committees and advisory boards. Indeed, plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.
The way I figure it, Brisbane is about the same distance from the West Coast of the US as Cambridge (give or take 1,500 miles). As it happens I will be in LA from 5th - 9th August, at the FORCE11 Scholarly Communications Institute - FSCI2019 https://www.force11.org/fsci/2019 where I will be re-partnering with the wonderful Sarah Shreeves to present an updated version* of our course:
“How To Introduce and Implement Policy in Your Institution and Still Have Friends Afterwards” https://www.force11.org/fsci/2019/course-abstracts#AM7
If you wish to stay in personal contact please respond off list before 3 May (my last day working for Cambridge).
Meanwhile, the advertisement has now gone out for the new position that will take the helm of the incredible Office of Scholarly Communication at Cambridge. If you think you are even slightly in the frame, please consider it. It will be a great role, working with a truly fantastic team and now the Position Statement on Open Research has been released at Cambridge, there are some exciting times ahead implementing this in practice. http://www.lib.cam.ac.uk/job/head-scholarly-communication
The last four years have been a lot of work but great fun. Things are really moving in our space – let’s keep the momentum going.
Danny
