<Apologies for cross posting>
November sees two separate concurrent events being held in Cambridge:
Engaging Researchers with Good Data Management 15th November 2017
This event is a co-organised event by SPARC Europe, Jisc and Cambridge University and will be at St Catherine College in Cambridge.
* Hear success stories from programmes including Cambridge’s Data Champions, TU Delft’s Data Stewardship, and the University of Lancaster’s Data Conversations
* Discuss with researchers and librarians how many are encouraging others to make data more open.
* Explore common data management-related challenges faced across the globe
* Find new opportunities to build a stronger community that includes researchers at all levels, across all disciplines to help manage and share research data more effectively.
Early bird registration (until 17 October) is £95, and £150 registration after this. Bursaries are available.

We are delighted to announce that OpenConCam is back for its third year on 16th November 2017
OpenConCam<http://www.openconcam.org/> is a satellite event of the international OpenCon<http://www.opencon2017.org/> which will be held this year in Berlin.
This year's OpenCon theme is "Open in order to..." and the OpenConCam’s theme is "Open for everyone". Our goal is to support and build the open community in Cambridge.
We want to empower attendees to make a difference in their respective fields through open data<http://www.opencon2017.org/open_data_101>, education<http://www.opencon2017.org/open_education_101> and access<http://www.opencon2017.org/open_access_101> and ensure that that difference is inclusive.
Our committee have brought together a great program of speakers<https://opencon2017cambridge.sched.com/> but there is also time scheduled for focus group discussion around actions that we can take to make a change in the world.
To register you need to sign up in two places:
* OpenConCam's event page: http://www.opencon2017.org/opencon_2017_cambridge
* The University of Cambridge's payment page: http://onlinesales.admin.cam.ac.uk/conferences-and-events/plant-sciences/opencon/opencon-2017
We're charging £5 per person, mostly to ensure that we can accurately account for attendance and provide the right amount of coffee, tea, biscuits, lunch and wine (for the end of event reception). We're greatful to PeerJ<https://peerj.com/> and Arcadia<https://www.arcadiafund.org.uk/> for their support which keeps the cost low for all participants.
You can follow the main OpenCon event (11th to 13th November) on twitter using #OpenCon<https://twitter.com/search?q=%23OpenCon>, and you can join the discussion around the Cambridge satellite event at #OpenConCam2017<https://twitter.com/search?q=%23OpenConCam2017> and follow us @OpenConCam<https://twitter.com/openconcam>.
