Agreed, facts are not copyrightable.

It will be interesting to see how useful your facts are without attribution. Leaving copyright aside, building new knowledge on old knowledge requires an ability to understand the old knowledge. How useful is research data disconnected from any description of method? I do not argue that your experiment is useless, quite the contrary, however I am sceptical and encourage this experiment to proceed with a critical lens.

Regarding CC0 if you read the description on the Creative Commons website, it is made very clear that the purpose of this license is to waive rights under copyright, and should not be used if you do not have rights under copyright. Details here: https://creativecommons.org/share-your-work/public-domain/cc0/

CC also has a public domain license. I would need to know more about your work to assess if this is appropriate or not.

Facts are not copyrightable and downstream facts would therefore be released as CC 0.

CC licenses involve waiver of rights under copyright. Using CC-0 on other people's work involves asserting copyright in order to waive it. If this project is not intending to produce work under copyright it does not make sense to assert copyright.

CC 0 is NOT an assertion of copyright. It is a dedication (as far as is legally possible) into the public domain.
