[GOAL] Springer is offering free pdf downloads of books older than 10 years

Hi

It seems so clear that this is so good for authors, readers and publishers.
Why doesn't this happen more often?
Btw, I am trying to "free" an old book by a group of researchers as well.
If anyone has any hints on how to negotiate with the publisher, please send
them, maybe in pvt.
