[GOAL] Your thoughts about Hindawi Journals

Respected sirs,
I am seeking your guidance about Hindawi's Journals, there are almost 
600 journals for different branches of science. Are there any reports (I 
know Beall's list, for example) for any Hindawi journal abusing the 
spirit of open access? As a chemist, I find the respective journals 
adequate for considering submission.
The reason why I am asking about Hindawi journals is to recommend the 
hesitant people as a good example of open-access spirit working quite 
well. I am also planning to refer them to the complete list at DOAJ, of 
course.
If you have time to tell me the basics as to how I can assess the 
overall quality of an open-access journal, I would be grateful.
