[GOAL] Our Fair Deal for a Digital Future

A few groups have put together a crowdsourcing platform for the public to
tell governments what we'd like to see as a fair deal for copyright, since
this has been brought up in recent trade treaty negotiations.

This can be a good opportunity to work with like-minded colleagues to put
forward the idea of setting the default for government-funded research to
open - please consider participating!

Further information and options for participating can be found here:

My vision for a fair digital future can be found on my blog:

In brief, in addition to setting the default to open, I suggest that
copyright law should consider culture, community, and the public interest
to be important goals, not just economic benefits of copyright.

best,
