[GOAL] Italian Research Institutions sign a position statement on OA

We are very pleased to inform that on March 21st the Presidents of some
important Research institutions in Italy, together with the Conference of
Rectors of Italian Universities signed a joint position statement on Open
Access to research outputs.
This is an outcome of the workshop organized by the National Task Force of
the EU funded project MedOANet <http://www.medoanet.eu/>.

The signatories are

   - National Health Institute - ISS
   - National Research Council - CNR
   - National Institute for Nuclear Physics - INFN
   - National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology - INGV
   - National Agency for News Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic
   Development - ENEA
   - Conference of Rectors of Italian Universities - CRUI


The document now available in English at
http://wiki.openarchives.it/images/f/f4/Position_paper_en.pdf shows a
strong committment to act coordinately in order to achieve the success of
Open Access in Italy by several actions.
