Here are 12 recent writings on the new Finch/RCUK OA Policy recommendations
in the UK. The latest has just appeared in D-Lib:
Harnad, S (2012) United Kingdom's Open Access Policy Urgently Needs a
Tweak<http://www.dlib.org/dlib/september12/harnad/09harnad.html>

I wouldn't be giving it all this time and attention if I didn't think the
potential perverse effects of the policy, if uncorrected, were so
pernicious for OA worldwide.
The flaw in the policy is easily fixed, but it does need to be fixed -- and
promptly, and prominently -- before it has the chance to do the damage it
is poised to do.
(Other OA advocates have also raised their voices for the requisite
revision, including Peter
Suber<https://plus.google.com/109377556796183035206/posts/BftzqGjScc1?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A%20GPeterSuber%20(G%2BFeed%20of%20Peter%20Suber)>
, Alma Swan<http://poynder.blogspot.ca/2012/09/budapest-open-access-initiative.html>,
& Fred Friend<http://www.friendofopenaccess.org.uk/index.php/uk-open-access-stakeholders-post-finch>.
Please make your voices heard too.)
