I did have plenty of good things to say when Elsevier declared that
they endorsed immediate, unembargoed Green OA self-archiving by their
authors in 2004:
http://bit.ly/ElsevAngels
And I've kept saying good things across the years since then until
Elsevier introduced the "you may if you wish but not if you must"
clause in 2011:
http://openaccess.eprints.org/index.php?/archives/822-.html
And as soon as Elsevier retires that piece of self-contradictory
double-talk from their endorsement of author self-archiving I will
again have nothing but good things to say about Elsevier (on OA).
