I understand it has been agreed that I will be the new moderator of
AmSci. I would like to thank everyone who expressed support for me.



This is an update: Stevan plans to migrate the list to new, more
modern, software. For this and other reasons, it has also been decided
to rename the list, which will become The Global Open Access List
(GOAL).



Stevan has done the preparatory work, and details of GOAL can be
viewed here: http://mailman.ecs.soton.ac.uk/mailman/listinfo/goal.



There are, however, a number of tasks still to be completed, including
transferring all AmSci subscribers over to the new list. Stevan has
kindly agreed to oversee the migration before handing the list over.



Please bear with us while this work is undertaken.
