Dear Fellows

You may have seen in the recent Turing Bulletin two areas that the Turing are looking for input for:

Virtual Engagement Activities
As we continue to operate in a virtual world, how can the Turing continue to connect across its network? As mentioned at the Turing Catch-up, we are looking for ideas for virtual engagement activities and platforms through which to deliver them. They don't just have to be just research focused but could also be ideas for training, social activities or simply how to work better in a virtual environment - all ideas are welcome. Email any ideas to academicengagement at turing.ac.uk<mailto:academicengagement at turing.ac.uk>

If you do send ideas across to the Turing, please let me know (as I'd be interested to know what they are).

Turing's Spotlight Series
The Comms team would love one or two suggestions from each university partner of researchers (inc Turing Fellows) they could feature. They are ideally looking for:

* People with a Turing affiliation (ideally a title like 'Turing Fellow')
* Diverse scientific backgrounds, potentially current research, and with an applied aspect to the research with the potential to impact people's day to day lives (such as health)
* An upbeat personality which helps brings warmth to the series
* Researchers from around the Turing's network. They can be at different points in their career and don't have to be well known .

The comms team conduct the 'interview' via email so the researcher doesn't have to commit to a specific time.

If you are interested in appearing in this series, please let me know so that I can put your name forward to the comms team.

Many thanks

Susan
