Best wishes

Ben, Nick and Tom.

Event details

The event will be held on Thursday 7 and Friday 8 March 2019 at the University of Manchester Conference Centre.

  * Day 1: 10:30 to 18:30: talks by University partners; followed by a Turing Lecture (TBC); followed by poster session and drinks
  * Day 2: 10:00 to 14:30: breakout sessions and feedback

The first day of the conference will consist of short presentations, one from each university partner, and several roundtable discussion sessions. The second day will be themed breakout sessions, identifying key areas of common interest and opportunities for research development.

Aims

The primary aim of the workshop is to establish an active community of researchers across the Turing universities who are interested in “AI and data science” for health.

Secondary aims

  * To build awareness of the breadth and depth of expertise across the Turing universities
  * For attendees to meet new collaborators and discuss new research ideas
  * For the Scientific Director (Holmes) to update Turing researchers on the current and up-coming activities and areas of opportunity within the Health programme
  * For attendees to feed into strategic planning for the Health programme, including ideas for future events/workshops
