The Parliamentary Office for Science and Technology is looking to interview researchers for a briefing to MPs and Peers on national and international evidence on 'Early interventions to reduce violent crime'. The aim of this is to provide an overview setting out:


  *   The current state of violent crime in the UK, with attention to geographical hotspots.
  *   The current approaches used to tackle violent crime across the four UK nations.
  *   Evidence on the potential risk and prevention factors for children and young people becoming involved in violent crime.
  *   Evidence on the success of early interventions in preventing or reducing violent crime.

Attached is a more detailed brief on what they are looking into. Feel free to disseminate this to both Turing Fellows and other researchers that would provide relevant expertise in your universities.

Could you please let me know by 15th February who would be willing to speak Francesca Boyd, the Postgraduate Fellow at POST, who is writing this briefing?
