Dear Turing University Leads,

As you will know we are currently finalising the doctoral recruitment process for this year. We will be sending a final draft of the process to ULMs shortly and as always, would welcome any further feedback you have.

At this stage, we would like to invite all our TULs to support in the recruitment of candidates at interview. We are inviting all TULs to chair interview panels and attend and contribute to the tensioning meeting on the final day of interviews. We would also like to invite all our TULs to nominate Turing Fellows to sit on interview panels and to nominate panel chairs if they are unable to attend. We will also be inviting the Programme Directors from the Turing to sit on interview panels and be recruiting convenors from the Turing Business Team to support throughout the interview process.

A draft schedule will be circulated in January, with final schedule circulated by the 15th February once candidates are confirmed.

Commitment for Panel Chairs
Attendance in person at the Institute for 1 or 2 days 9am – 5pm – either 26th or 27th February 2019
Attendance in person or remotely at tensioning meeting 5pm – 8pm 27th February 2019 (if TULs are unavailable for the tensioning meeting we would request a nomination of another suitable individual)
Attendance in person or remotely for interview day briefing (several dates and times will be made available)
Commitment to read candidate packs and guidance in advance

Commitment for Panel Members
Attendance in person at the Institute for 1 or 2 days 9am – 5pm – either 26th or 27th February 2019
Attendance in person or remotely for interview day briefing (several dates and times will be made available)
