<p>1. Keywords browse view<br>

<p>I cannot be certain but I think the keywords field was originally
added for allowing users to specify words that may not appear
elsewhere in the metadata but that should be indexed, so it can be
found in search results. Therefore this field is free-hand text
field and not suited for use as a classifier for a browse view.</p>
<p>If you want to do a keywords browse view, you will need to create
your own multiple keywords field. I would also advise, adding an
autocompleter for this field so that users add the same keywords
and avoid typos, that will be required editing the workflow to add
the lookup script and then write this script in your archive's
/cgi/users/lookup/. You will probably also need to write a script
to map the current keywords field into individual keywords,
presumably using commas as a separator.</p>
<p>2. Search functionality<br>
</p>
<p>Without seeing your repository, I cannot tell if you have Xapian
search indexing enabled. If you have this enabled some of the
features you describe [1], like quoting titles to limit the amount
of search results so the item you are actually looking for appears
near the top of the page. If you do not ahve Xapian search
indexing enabled. You will need to reindex all items once you
have enabled it. If you have a recent (3.4+) version of EPrints,
to enable this you will just need to make sure the appropriate
Xapian OS packages are installed and then restart the webserver
(then reindex all items). On Debian/Ubuntu, these are:</p>
libsearch-xapian-perl<br>
libxapian30<br>
xapian-tools (probably not essential)

Truncation Search, Wild Card Search, Proximity Operators,
and Boolean Operators search function in the simple search
