<p>Looking through the GitHub compare and doing a diff over the two
tarballs from files.eprints.org. The only thing I have found that
could be an issue is a bug fix in the Atom Export plugin which is
the format that RT2/Elements requests in a response to creating
items through the item creation requests.</p>

<p>This change may fix an issue with the Atom XML appearing
mis-formed to a consumer. However, this may not be a problem for
RT2/Elements. Also it may have still worked in 3.3.14 but just
produced a barewords warning that someone wanted to tidy up.<br>
</p>
<p>Changes to perl_lib/EPrints/Apache/Storage.pm and
eprints-3.3.14/perl_lib/EPrints/Apache/CRUD.pm don't look like
they should have any impact on how RT2/Elements work and beyond
that I could not find any other files that might affect to
RT2/EPrints interaction. I suspect Symplectic are saying only
3.3.15 onwards is supported, as that was the latest version
available when they first started development/testing and did not
want the hassle of going through lots of old versions, when they
probably suspected people would have moved on from these when they
came to setting up RT2.</p>

of our repositories had an accidental upgrade from 3.3.12
to 3.3.15 a year or so ago (the server team were meant to
ignore the eprints RPM packages. Took me a while to work

3.3.14. We have wanted to upgrade to 3.4 for a good
while now, but due to REF, COVID, REF extension and
various issues around RT2 we have delayed.<o:p></o:p></p>

should work with RT2, but as it stands it looks like

this RT2 upgrade, so as you may imagine this is
causing me some concern.<o:p></o:p></p>
