The consequence was that we could install Bazaar packages fine, and attempting to enable them resulted in the correct ‘configuration reloaded’ messages, but the configuration files weren’t copied into the archive tree and there was no indication that anything was wrong. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>The fix was to chmod -R g+w the relevant directories.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial","sans-serif"'>Is it worth EPrints checking permissions and failing with an error?
