no, an admin just modified 'item status' to 'live archive' after searching for some items under review via bulk/batch edit ...

yes; after marking some items for reindexing I got the notion the search results get correct :-)

BTW: imho only simple search seems to rely on index; an advanced search for item's title was successful without reindexing ...!?
