[EP-tech] Advance search works only in latin1

Is there any way to force use utf8 in advance search fields? The simple
search seems that works fine in utf8. Any idea why this is happening?
Also { meta_fields => [ "creators_name" ] } in advance search works only in
latin1 characters (no matter if you copy - paste the authors name in utf8).
