[EP-tech] Custom rendering of a new metadata field

Hi everyone,
 
I'm struggling to produce a custom render for a new metadata field. The documentation is a bit confusing with no real examples.
 
Does anyone have a brief example of using render_single_value and render input with a newly added field?
 
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
