[EP-tech] Searching by email - UPPERCASE or lowercase?

Dear All,


I have a strange problem.


When I search for some authors' work, I get a  load of irrelevant results, but when I search them in uppercase (I.E. DKANE at wit.ie) the results are correct.  This is tolerable, but I would still like to fix.  Can anyone suggest what might be happening?
