[EP-tech] Data transfer from Sharepoint

Hi all,
I've been asked to consider how easy (or not) it would be to transfer data from Sharepoint into EPrints.  This is more in terms of intermittently transferring single items rather than a one of bulk transfer.
Has anyone got any experience around this at all, or thoughts on simplicity or complexity of doing so?

(my searching thus far raised this https://swordpoint.codeplex.com/  by Mr. Brody, but it appears to be more of a musing experiment than anything close to complete)
