[EP-tech] export & import a division (with files)

hi

before going into coding a plugin, i would like to know if you know if its possible or impossible, easy or difficult to achieve this:

from one repository EXPORT all meta data and files of all modified documents (say in latest 12 months) of a division
and reimport them all, overwriting eventually already existing docs with same id, on another repository


(our system is mad of several independent repositories, with a "division" (containing basic documents that should be available locally to every repo) in common. and i need to find the easiest way to sync this division.
