Subject: [eHealth] panel update

Hello,

ironically for a health panel, your host is too ill presently to attend the CHI conference. however, i hope to be mobile enough for the panel itself.

That said, teams have been assigned:

Team 1,
Robert Jacob, Christophere Le Dantec, Lena Mamykina, Harold Thmbleby

topics beyond the patient record:
from getting health information into tech-lite areas to presenting health information in everyday contexts without being interuptions.

Team 2
enlarging the scope of the patient record beyond the Doctor/Patient context

Peter Szolovits, Kenneth.Mandl at childrens.harvard.edu, Catherine Plaisant, Sunny Consolvo

Panel framing: 90 mins

1) Intro and introductions of the panel (mc if vertical)

2) invited speaker: Tim Berners-Lee
Tim will speak for 15 mins about some of the data/web issues around eHealth that will be of interest informing the HCI challenges.

By the way, when i asked Tim about Gary's challenge of how to get info about say HIV into remote areas when all the techno is a cell phone and literacy may be low, he said "the condome song"

3) After Tim, Team 1 presents for 15-20 mins
4) Team 2, for 15-20 mins

5) discussion - questions from the floor

Apparently wireless is not great at the conference center. We'd been hoping to have an open irc channel for questions to percolate up during the talks, but this might not be possible.

Location: "You're in Ballroom B, a great room, arranged with casual armchairs and a speaker podium. "

For Peter, Kenneth and Tim, we'll make sure that you can get access to the room and not get stopped by guards saying 'where's your registration'
