[ECSWomen] ECSWomen committee positions, CV workshop and Theano event

Hi everyone,

Thanks to those who attended the ECSWomen event last week! It was good to see so many of you there. A couple of announcements:

1. TOMORROW (Thursday, 30th Oct, 17:00) Theano society, the Women in Science, Engineering and Technology group at the University of Southampton, organises a session on Women's Health. There are only 9 tickets left:

2. NEXT WEEK, on the 6th of November 2014 (Thursday) at 18:00 - 19:00 in room 58/1001 ECSWomen will be holding a CV and Cover Letter Workshop. This workshop is organised in collaboration with Career Destinations for our female students in ECS. It will guide you through musts and mustn'ts of a CV when you are looking for a job or a placement in engineering and technology areas.

3. We are looking for new members to join the ECSWomen committee! In particular, we need a Secretary, Webmaster and a Treasurer.
If you are interested, please send me an e-mail (df1e12 at soton.ac.uk), including your name, course, what year you are in, which position that you are applying for and a paragraph about why you are interested/your similar experiences etc. The application deadline is Wednesday, 5th November at 12:00.
