Hi guys,
Hope you took the well-deserved break and you're now enjoying your exams!
It's ECSS pleasure to present to you the EMECS-thon:
Head bursting full of embedded systems ideas? Want to try
your hand at hardware hacking? What do you say to a
weekend (February 1st - 3rd) with building a cool
embedded systems project with free food, development kits
& components (which you get to keep afterwards) with a
chance to win great prizes?
Registration for the 2013 EMECS-thon is now open! Teams
of up to three people can now sign-up online at
http://www.emecs-thon.org
Co-organized by EMECS students and ECSS with support from
industry partners ARM and Xilinx, EMECS-thon is a 48 hour
competition where students design and implement an
embedded device of their choosing. This annual
competition is between students from the University of
Kaiserslautern in Germany, the Norwegian University of
Science and Technology, and the University of Southampton.
Prizes will be given to teams for the best technical
idea, the best business idea, and the people's choice
award in each university and a EMECS-thon guru for the
best project out of the three universities. These awards
will be decided by EMECS-thon organizers, faculty,
industry professionals, and fellow students. The
competition starts in less than a month so visit
http://www.emecs-thon.org for more information and to
sign up no later than January 20th!
Feel free to contact us if you have any queries!
Look forward to seeing you compete!
