Hope your exams went well!

IBM are organising their yearly Innovation Workshop, to give students like you the opportunity of visiting their centre in Hursley, Winchester, on the 15th of January for an all-day event.

For this event, you need to sign up and pay a £5 deposit (you'll get it back on the day). Members of the committee will be in Zepler reception from 12 noon to 2pm this Thursday and Friday to collect your deposit.

On the 15th, the itinerary will be:

9:15 meet-up in Zepler reception
10:00 arrival
- Talk and demo from IBM Emerging Technology Services on current research areas such as augmented reality and mind-controlled HCI.
- Innovation Centre tour - The IC is a showcase for technology from IBM and partners, demonstrating these solutions in real-world scenarios.

LUNCH (with IBM Master Inventors and recent hires available for Q&A)

- Innovation workshop - techniques for creative problem solving
- Innovation challenge - apply the techniques learnt  in the workshop to create a novel solution
- Prize-giving for the best solutions judged by a panel of IBM experts
- Brief summary of recruitment opportunities and hints and tips for the application process
