Hello,
This weekend ECSS is running an "Introduction to Linux" event, this is
part of the new ECSLUG which is being run by Richard Lowe. We are going
to be teaching you how Linux works from the bare basics, this includes
showing you how to manage partitions during the installation process as
well as showing you things that will help you to complete your work. A
LUG is a great way to get to know people and to learn about Linux, it's
also a great way to improve your skill base. We encourage both beginners
and experienced users to attend, as while we teach the beginners the
basics the experienced users can either help out or participate with us
in some interesting projects.
In future events we hope the format will be more of a discussion with
members that choose to demonstrate what they have learned to the members
of the group. Feel free to bring your machines along as well!
If you're interested join us in Seminar Room 1 on the 3rd of October
(Saturday) at 1pm. We will have free cake for those who attend!
Thanks,
Darius Aliabadi
