I won’t be in for our ITA meeting on Friday, so I propose you use the time to practise your “viva pitches”.</div>

<div>At your 9-month viva, your examiner will likely ask you to briefly summarise your work at the start of the viva. This should take a few minutes (3 is a good guide) and cover the motivation for your work, the gap in the literature you’re addressing, your
research questions and your novel contributions so far.</div>

<div>So please each give your viva pitch to each other on Friday, and give each other useful feedback (is it all clear? Is the novelty well explained? Is it concise?)</div>
